The last year has proven to be a difficult one for Queen Elizabeth and it is beginning to show.
Queen Elizabeth II, is the current and longest serving monarch who has experienced and witnessed much over the years, which is exactly what you would expect a queen’s life to look like.
Over the last twelve months she has dealt with the pandemic, internal conflict within the British Royal Family along with the loss of her husband, Prince Philip which is a lot for one person to handle.
Apparently recent reports claim that the Queen has received some news from her doctor which has made her feel rather upset.
Being a royal you might think life is easier than the rest of the world, however viruses don’t pick and choose us.
Once Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were struck down by the virus they forced take serious measures due to their age and to isolate from the rest of the world and watch as UK citizens are suffering. This wasn’t easy for the compassionate Queen.
Speculations regarding the monarchy started to surface early last year.
When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle up and left, people believed it was a personal decision for family reasons despite different rumours that were circulating. The Queen did not allow them to affect her.
Soon after, the whole world tuned into Harry & Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Harry and Meghan both opened up about their time and experiences at the Buckingham Palace which left everyone in shock.
Meghan spoke to Oprah about her suicidal thoughts and Harry indicated a certain member of the British Royal Family who was to remain unnamed made some racist comments their unborn son Archie.
The interview was made public, #AbloishTheMonarchy was trending on Twitter allegations forced the Queen to respond as she promised to investigate the claims.
The statement from Queen Elizabeth read: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.
The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.
Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”
Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, passed away soon after which left Queen Elizabeth totally heartbroken.
Philip was just a few months away from celebrating his 100th birthday. However his loss has no doubt left a huge hole in her heart.
On April 9, the Royal Family tweeted: “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.”
On April 17th Philip’s was laid to rest as 13 million people in the U.K watched, however there only thirty people allowed to be present. The Queen had no choice but to sit alone.
Despite all these tragic events the Queen has emained strong for the people, but recently her strength was tested after receiving news from her doctors.
Her majesty has been advised to lower her alcohol intake as she is usually drinking up to four cocktails per day.
A family friend is said to have commented: “The Queen has been told to give up her evening drink which is usually a martini.
“It’s not really a big deal for her, she is not a big drinker but it seems a trifle unfair that at this stage in her life she’s having to give up one of very few pleasures.”
The source added: “The alcohol has gone, her doctors want to make sure she is as fit and healthy as possible.”
Recently the Queen has been using a cane to get around, which causes concern for many as it may indicate numerous health problems.
Queen Elizabeth is upset that she can no longer consume alcohol except for special events.
