Recently he discussed his mental health with Dax Shepard on a podcast and was extremely candid in relation to the issues that he was facing.

Harry always felt he never really fit into the royal family and for a long time he has been feeling “helpless.”

The best way he could describe being part of the royal family was as “the Truman Show and living in a zoo.”

“It’s the job right? Grin and bear it. Get on with it.” he said.

“I was in my early twenties and I was thinking I don’t want this job, I don’t want to be here. I don’t want to be doing this.”

“Look what it did to my mum, how am I ever going to settle down and have a wife and family when I know it’s going to happen again?”

“I’ve seen behind the curtain, I’ve seen the business model and seen how this whole thing works and I don’t want to be part of this.”

In order to cope with everything he started going to therapy, which has certainly helped him.

“I plucked my head out of the sand and gave it a good shake off and I was like, you’re in this position of privilege, stop complaining and stop thinking you want something different – make this different – because you can’t get out.”

Now, in a new Apple TV series with Oprah Winfrey Harry has opened up about life as a father.

During the show Harry and Oprah speak to fans and celebrities in an attempt to encourage conversations surrounding mental health.

According to Harry, a picture of his late mother Princess Diana is displayed in Archie’s nursery at his home.

“I got a photo of her in his nursery, and it was one of the first words that he said — apart from ‘mama,’ ‘papa,’ it was then ‘grandma’. Grandma Diana,” he shared with viewers.

“It’s the sweetest thing, but at the same time, it makes me really sad because she should be here.”

Archie’s very first word, was “crocodile” Harry explained to his fans.

He’s got the most amazing personality. He’s already putting three or four words together, he’s already singing songs,” he explained to comedian James Corden when he appeared on The Late Late Show earlier this year.

Harry reflected on the loss of his mother throughout the episode.

I wish she could’ve met Meghan. I wish she was around for Archie.”

He continued: “I have no doubt that my mom would be incredibly proud of me.”

I’m living the life that she wanted to live for herself, living the life that she wanted us to be able to live.”

So not only do I know that she’s incredibly proud of me, but that she’s helped me get here. And I’ve never felt her presence more as I have done over the last year.

It appears Harry still really misses his mother.
