Pregnant woman swims past tourists to give birth in the sea.

There are plenty of fun things to do at the beach, but giving birth to a baby isn’t on the list! However one mother swam into the sea to give birth to her baby.

The following images taken by a tourist from a balcony that overlooked the sea in the resort town of Dahab, went viral showing how this woman give birth to a baby under the water.

The town of Dahab has become a popular spot for seawater births, with many believing that natural water births are more beneficial for their babies. It can also help them feel more relaxed during labor.

The Russian woman was accompanied by the child’s father and the family doctor for the very natural birth at the resort town of Dahab in Egypt.

The images show the father and doctor standing by with a little plastic bucket to hold the placenta, and we can also see the umbilical cord still attached to the baby too.

The older man carrying the baby is a doctor specialising in water births and she claimed the newborn had a little sister on the beach with the family.

Some report suggests the newborn was simply brought to the sea to bathe in the waters, leaving the placenta attached for the supposed health benefits it could provide.

Leaving the placenta attached to the baby is becoming a popular trend among parents the method is referred to as a ‘lotus birth’. The cord and placenta are left attached until they naturally separate.

It’s still unclear what exactly is going on with this family and their newborn baby, but medical experts definitely advise against the idea of giving birth to a baby in the salty waters of seas and oceans.

Doctor Saima Aftab of the Fetal Care Center at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami explained, even if a medical professional was on the scene ocean births do carry risks.

First off, the sea is unpredictable, so there is a chance the mother could drown or be swept away. The salt in the water could be very harmful to a small baby if swallowed. Also if the temperature of the water isn’t warm enough, the baby could become hypothermic.

Many have commented on how amazing it is tho have captured these images. It must have been surreal for others at the beach to witness this moment.
