Despite the global pandemic crisis that we are currently experiencing, some people just do not seem to be listening to the”stay at home” rules.
The deadly virus has completely taken over the world which has been spreading at an alarming rate.
The actions of a man who allegedly bit a police officer on her arm have been described by a chief constable as “the lowest of the low”.
The 21-year-old police officer was attacked as she and her colleagues responded to reports of a street disturbance in Rochdale during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Greater Manchester Police officers attempted to explain to the man that he should not be visiting other people’s homes.
But the police say the man lashed out by punching two officers including the constable who he also bit.
The officer had to attend hospital following the incident on Thursday at about 6.40pm and was later discharged.
Chief Constable Ian Hopkins later tweeted: “Words fail me when it comes to some people’s behaviour. This is shocking at the best of times, but during a Coronavirus pandemic this is just the lowest of the low. I trust the CPS & Court will now do what we all expect of them!”
The 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, domestic violence assault, section 18 assault with intent to resist arrest and regulation 8 of the Health Protection Regulation 2020.
In the United States the Empire State Building was magnificently lit up to say thank you to the first responders and the emergency service workers.
It was lit up to resemble a red siren which represented the heartbeat of the United States…
Residents were left feeling a little unnerved by this tribute. Afterall a giant flashing siren overlooking the entire city isn’t exactly the most peaceful of atmospheres… is it? Some people saw the funny side to it.
It is pretty haunting to see a giant red siren flashing over the entire city. However it appears that New York City isn’t the only one alarming its residents unintentionally.

Police in Crowley, Louisiana issued a siren very similar to the one used in the horror movie, The Purge, to let residents know about the 9 pm curfew they had set for the lockdown.
The siren eerily sounded through the empty streets and residential areas…The curfew prohibits citizens from leaving their homes between the local hours of 9 pm and 6 am…

The police department said the curfew went into place because the city is located in the state’s Acadia Parish, which has “received the worst rating for the rapid spread of the virus, meaning it has been put into place in order to try and slow the spread.”
World leaders have been left with no choice but to bring their countries to a total stand-still. While many have now banned large and crowded events, including any travel to and from infected countries
