In 2009, Megan Fox sat with Jimmy Kimmel for an interview to discuss her career history in the film industry.
They spoke about her role in a Michael Bay movie when she was just fifteen-years-old and being cast to wear a skimpy bikini.
Kimmel faces criticism following this interview which has reemerged in which he makes a sexual joke about her being underage.
Because Megan was only fifteen at the time of making the movie, Bay couldn’t film her sitting at the bar, so he came up with a more “creative” way to feature her in the movie.
Fox danced under a waterfall in a bikini to audition as an extra for movie Bad Boys II.
Megan Fox was twenty-three when she met with Jimmy for an interview. During her role in the Michael Bay film, she was being taken advantage of as an underage teenager. Jimmy Kimmel was eager to join the sexualization of Megan Fox as a child.
Despite the interview being eleven-years ago, 52 year old host host, Jimmy Kimmel has come under fire as old footage of him in blackface has resurfaced.
“Megan Fox tells a story about Michael Bay sexualising her as a 15 y/o. The crowd laughs, and Kimmel makes gross jokes. Teen girls being preyed on by older men has never been taken seriously and still isn’t.”
The interview with Fox by Kimmel resurfaced on Sunday when it was posted by Twitter user Liz W. The clip has been viewed 5.8 million times as of reporting, with dozens of people responding to the tweet by denouncing Kimmel’s reaction.
Megan spoke about her time on the set of Bad Boys II where she holds the film credit “Stars-and-Stripes Bikini Kid Dancing Under Waterfall.” Which doesn’t necessarily capture the sexualised nature of her role and where she was forced to do stuff by director Michael Bay.
“I had just turned 15, and I was an extra in Bad Boys II. They were shooting this club scene, and they brought me in, and I was wearing a Stars-and-Stripes Bikini and a red cowboy hat. And six-inch heels,” she said.
“And he approved it, and they said, you know, ‘Michael, she’s 15, so you can’t sit her at the bar, and she can’t have a drink in her hand.’ So his solution to that problem was to then have me dancing underneath a waterfall getting soaking wet.”
Fox didn’t find it funny when the crowd laughed at this. Kimmel appears to brush over the point Fox is trying to make and interrupts with a joke to diffuse the growing tension.
“At fifteen. I was in tenth grade. So that’s a microcosm of how Bay’s mind works.”
Kimmel had a quick response to that: “Well that’s really a microcosm of how all our minds work.”
Kimmel didn’t just fail to defend Fox when Michael Bay sexualized her underage body, he also admitted his pedophiliac tendencies.
