How To Cure A Toothache At Home, My Dentist Was Amazed.

A toothache can be very painful which often sends people straight to the dentist.

Toothaches have a nasty habit of striking in the night due to changes in blood flow. Your dental practise being closed at this hour often adds to the pain.

However don’t worry because in this article help you make the most effective home remedy which will help you cure a toothache instantly.

Toothache is usually caused by:

  • Missing / Broken teeth
  • Gingivitis
  • Cavity
  • Bad crown installation
  • Plaque
  • Sleep apnea
  • Temporomandibular joint disorder

All you will need is two simple ingredients – cloves and coconut oil. Cloves make an incredible home remedy for toothaches.

  • ½ teaspoon clove powder
  • ½ teaspoon coconut oil

Here’s what you need to do – mix these 2 ingredients and apply this mixture with a cotton bud on the affected tooth.

The mixture will help alleviate the pain until you go to the dentist in the morning.

Long before we had the dental care we have today, dentists used cloves to help pain because they contain eugenol, a powerful anesthetic and antiseptic that stops pain in its tracks and wipes out germs.

Eugenol remains popular and effective even now, and is still used by dentists today in a purified form that separates it from the essential oil.

There are many other home remedies using home ingredients to get relief from the tooth pain.

Salt Water Gargle

This solution is made of a teaspoon of salt and a cup of boiling water combats infection and alleviates throat pain. It also helps ease swelling and flush away debris.  Allow to water to cool and swirl it around the mouth for half a minute.

Peppermint Tea

Peppermint oil is very effective antiseptic solution against oral pathogens. Drink peppermint tea containing a teaspoon of peppermint leaves steeped for 15-20 minutes. Also alleviates headaches and bad breath.

Raw Garlic

Garlic combats fungi, bacteria, and viruses due to it’s active ingredient allicin for medicinal purposes.

Crush a garlic clove and let it sit for a few minutes to activate its compounds. Combine it with a bit of salt and apply onto the painful tooth. Alternatively you can chew the clove a few times daily using the affected tooth.

Vanilla Extract

Vanilla scent acts as soothing agent to help fight off anxiety linked to a toothache, while its alcohol content acts as numbing agent.  Dab vanilla extract on your finger and rub it onto the affected tooth to alleviate pain.

Turmeric Paste

Packed with antiviral and antibacterial properties, this paste fights bad breath, gum redness, irritation, and tooth stains. Mix a tablespoon of coconut oil, a teaspoon of turmeric powder and a few drops of peppermint oil. Brush your teeth with this paste just like you would do with a regular one. Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off.
