Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are in the middle a media firestorm especially since their announcement, where they declared they were stepping down as senior members of the royal family.
Since then couple has been hitting the headlines and things have only got worse for the couple with their latest crisis…
Things have not been going well for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex lately.
It all started with the denouncing of their involvement with the royal family and everything else followed suit.
But we have to admit, Meghan and Harry are still one of the most famous couples in the world.
Headlines were made all over the world when the British Royal Family’s Prince Harry announced his romance with the Suits actress, Meghan Markle.
It all started with a blind date…
The couple met back in 2016 when they were set up by a mutual friend who thought the two would hit it off.
Their friend’s hunch was apparently right…
They immediately arranged to see each other again, eventually going on to have 2 more dates in London.
In 2017, after a couple of months of privacy…
The pair officially went public with their relationship.
Meghan was instantly catapulted into the royal spotlight.
Meghan was well known for her role as Rachel Zane in Suits, the California-born actress was thrown into levels of fame that she had never experienced before.
The world quickly became Meghan and Harry obsessed.
And people were delighted to hear the news of their engagement later that year.
And, not ones to waste any time…
In may 2018, the couple got married.
The ceremony was magnificent.
Harry and Meghan had a lavish ceremony at Windsor Castle, which became one of the most-watched televised events of all time.
Meghan radiated with happiness on her big day…
Meghan looked absolutely stunning.
Following the wedding, the newly appointed Duke and Duchess of Sussex had some more exciting news…
On October 15th, 2018, the couple announced their pregnancy.
And, on May 6th, 2019…
Archie Mountbatten-Windsor was welcomed into the world.
They make for the cutest little family.
Things haven’t been as smooth as they have been appear. Since the virus outbreak started things have become a lot worse.
Meghan hasn’t had the easiest time…
Joining the British royal family was never going to be an easy transition, given that a person has to give up their entire life in order to be a part of the monarchy. Meghan’s experience has been especially difficult.
Many dedicated royalists weren’t happy to see an American woman of colour in the monarchy…
And many attacked the Duchess, slamming her as “fake,” with some going as far as accusing her of breaking up the royal family entirely.
She has also been relentlessly attacked by the press…

To the point where Kensington Palace was forced to issue a statement, pleading for the press and the public alike to take a step back when it comes to their scathing reporting and bombardment of Meghan.
But, this year, the couple have seemingly had enough of the harassment and the criticism…
Announcing that they will be officially stepping down as senior members of the royal family.
They made the announcement on their joint Instagram page, Sussex Royal.
“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen,” the post read.
The couple plan on providing a more “normal” upbringing for Archie…
They announced that they will be splitting their time between the U.K and North America.
“This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity,” they wrote.
This is huge news.
A couple of feathers have been ruffled in Buckingham Palace.
What did the other royals have to say about their controversial decision?
The Queen released a statement, which read:
“My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family. Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family.”
But behind closed doors…
Matters have reportedly been far from smooth sailing.
Reports have surfaced that senior royals were left “hurt” by the shock announcement that was made “without warning.”
News has sparked a whole new wave of criticism to head Meghan’s way.
While a family friend made some shocking claims…
Despite accusations that the couple didn’t tell other senior royals of their plans to step back, the Sussexes felt they had “no choice” but to handle things the way they have.
However, their feelings are much stronger than we thought. Scroll down to find out why…
The source remarked that there’s so much “bad blood” in the family…
“This is not how they wanted to handle this, but Meghan and Harry’s hand was forced,” the family friend explained.
“There is so much bad blood in that family — it’s toxic.”
However what many people have failed to take into consideration…
This whole experience must have been very difficult for new mother Meghan.
Last month, Prince Harry finally broke his silence on the matter.
Harry delivered a heartfelt speech about their split from the royal family at a charity event.
Harry began by addressing the media firestorm that’s ensued since he and Meghan announced their split from the royal family.
“Before I begin, I must say that I can only imagine what you may have heard or perhaps read over the last few weeks,” Harry said.
“So, I want you to hear the truth from me, as much as I can share – not as a Prince, or a Duke, but as Harry, the same person that many of you have watched grow up over the last 35 years – but with a clearer perspective.”
He went on to praise those who have been supportive of Meghan.
“The UK is my home and a place that I love. That will never change. I have grown up feeling support from so many of you, and I watched as you welcomed Meghan with open arms as you saw me find the love and happiness that I had hoped for all my life. Finally, the second son of Diana got hitched, hurray!”
“I also know you’ve come to know me well enough over all these years to trust that the woman I chose as my wife upholds the same values as I do. And she does, and she’s the same woman I fell in love with. We both do everything we can to fly the flag and carry out our roles for this country with pride. Once Meghan and I were married, we were excited, we were hopeful, and we were here to serve.”
“I know I haven’t always gotten it right.”
Harry stressed that his decision took a lot of consideration, and there was no other option.
“The decision that I have made for my wife and I to step back, is not one I made lightly. It was so many months of talks after so many years of challenges,” Harry said. “And I know I haven’t always gotten it right, but as far as this goes, there really was no other option.”
“We are not walking away from you.”
“Our hope was to continue serving the Queen, the commonwealth, and my military associations, but without public funding,” he said. “Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible. I’ve accepted this, knowing that it doesn’t change who I am or how committed I am. But I hope that helps you understand what it had to come to, that I would step my family back from all I have ever known, to take a step forward into what I hope can be a more peaceful life.”
Meghan and Harry confirmed they would no longer be using their HRH titles, and are also intending on reimbursing U.K. taxpayers for renovations made to Frogmore Cottage last year.
He also took the time to honor his late mother.
“I was born into this life, and it is a great honor to serve my country and the Queen. When I lost my mum 23 years ago, you took me under your wing,” he continued.
“You’ve looked out for me for so long, but the media is a powerful force, and my hope is one day our collective support for each other can be more powerful because this is so much bigger than just us.”
“It has been our privilege to serve you, and we will continue to lead a life of service.”
He ended his emotional speech by praising his family, despite the recent rumors that rifts were forming.
The couple have been told to remove the word “royal” from their branding on both their social media and website.
This could cause huge issues for their trademarked name.
The pair have been trying to gain the international rights to their “Sussex Royal” brand as they prepare to move onto this new stage in their lives.
But, according to reports, the Queen has put her foot down.
The Queen allegedly felt it was “inappropriate” for Meghan and Harry to use the word “royal”given the fact they have chosen to go their own way.
However the couples’ initial hard feelings might have been stronger than we thought.
Omid Scobie, Bazaar.com’s royal editor and a journalist in Harry and Meghan’s inner circle said this:
“Things might have been different if a family member or two had stood up for them during the darkest times.” He referred to them as “a couple very much hurting”, who were forced to say goodbye to their team. He also mentioned Prince Harry’s heartbreak at giving up his military honors, describing it as “a wound that will take time to heal.”
Things only got worse for the couple as they recently tried to address the pandemic.
Still using their official royal Instagram, they posted this “advice” already given to us by the World Health Organization, writing in the caption: “Around the world, the response from people in every walk of life, to protect and look out for their communities has been inspiring.”
“None more so than the brave and dedicated healthcare workers on the frontline, risking their own well-being to care for the sick. Wherever you are in the world, we are all incredibly grateful.”
But it was this part that really had everyone frustrated:
“For all of us, the best way we can support health workers is to make sure we do not make their job any harder by spreading this disease further. No matter where you are, the @WHO have shared some guidelines that can help. You may have seen or heard these before, but they are as important today as ever.”
Meghan Markle has revolutionized the royal family…
Since the wedding, Meghan has taken part in many royal tours, and visits all around the world. Having her first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, hasn’t stopped her from fulfilling her duties.
Her beautiful looks and elegant demeanor captured hearts all around the world, and her work for feminism and women’s charities has set an excellent example within the Royal Family.
