
Police arrested a man bear Buckingham Palace after he was found carrying a knife.
The unidentified male was surrounded by police offers at around 11am this morning.
The arrest took place not long before Queen Elizabeth was driven from the palace with her husband the Duke of Edinburgh to St Paul’s Cathedral. The pair were attending an event there.

As reported by The Metro a Metropolitan Police spokesperson stated the arrest is not thought to be terror-related.
They said:
A man has been arrested in The Mall, SW1, in possession of a knife. Patrolling officers detained and arrested the man in The Mall at about 10.40am this morning.
No-one was injured in the incident and a knife was recovered. The man has been taken to a central London police station.
