In Racine, Wisconsin, a 12-year-old girl was suspended from school for selling sex toys to students.
Frances Halbeck was in the middle of a basketball game after school when the principal of Trinity Lutheran School suddenly pulled her out and reprimanded her in front of all her classmates for selling sex toys.
However, Frances was confused. She had reportedly been given permission from her homeroom teacher to sell “water snake wigglies” for $1 profit each. She wanted to sell the toys after reading online that they benefit autistic children and provide a soothing effect.
She told TMJ4:
“It just calms you when you touch it. You squeeze it, it’s cold, and it’s hard to hold sometimes.”
So when Frances told her father, Milt Halbeck, what happened with the principal, he was outraged, telling TMJ4:
“In your wildest imaginations, no adult could possibly view this as a sex toy. This is a water-filled bag.”
And when Milt contacted the school about the absurdity of his daughter’s suspension, the school stood its ground.
According to TMJ4, the school board had already discussed the issue and sided with the principal who had suspended Frances. The school’s pastor, Pastor David Gehne, told TMJ4:
“We wouldn’t discuss the details of any situation regarding one of our children, they’re all minors.”
This is a fact that Frances’s father is well-aware of, insisting the wigglies are nothing more than “bags filled with water,” saying about the school:
“The spirituality of that place is busted.”
Frances told TMJ4 that she feels way too young for a misunderstanding like this to occur, saying:
“I just learned something that I shouldn’t have.”
And until Frances’s record is cleared of the suspension, Milt told TMJ4 he won’t stop speaking out on the matter.
