The harp guitar (or “harp-guitar”) is a guitar-based stringed instrument with a history of well over two centuries. … The word “harp” is used in reference to its harp-like unstopped open strings. A harp guitar must have at least one unfretted string lying off the main fretboard, typically played as an open string.
The guitar creates a beautiful sound, especially the way Jamie strums it softly in the video. Along with that his song choice could not be more fitting, the serene settings of the forest just add to the majestic melody.
Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel recorded “The Sound of Silence” in 1964, and it hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Paul wrote the song when he was just 21-years-old.
