Jamie’s rendition is both captivating and haunting, mesmerizing listeners with his unique talent and style. The Canadian composer and guitarist has enthralled people with his unique style using an 18 string harp guitar.

“OH! This is so-o beautiful. Thank You for playing such a great song so well and sharing it here. I’d never heard of such an instrument.”

The harp guitar (or “harp-guitar”) is a guitar-based stringed instrument with a history of well over two centuries. … The word “harp” is used in reference to its harp-like unstopped open strings. A harp guitar must have at least one unfretted string lying off the main fretboard, typically played as an open string.

The guitar creates a beautiful sound, especially the way Jamie strums it softly in the video. Along with that his song choice could not be more fitting, the serene settings of the forest just add to the majestic melody.
Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel recorded “The Sound of Silence” in 1964, and it hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Paul wrote the song when he was just 21-years-old.

The Sound Silence to this day remains an iconic all time favorite for music lovers worldwide. It is a song which gathers new fans with every new generation. Although jamie does not sing the song the captivating melodic sound produce by his guitar captivates every listener.

From the beginning you can feel yourself singing the words in your head, many of who will be familiar with it from the movie Donnie Darko.

“Hello darkness, my old friend,

I’ve come to talk with you again,

Because a vision softly creeping,

Left its seeds while I was sleeping,

And the vision that was planted in my brain

Still remains

Within the sound of silence”
