Tragic news has emerged regarding legendary actor, Fred Willard, who passed away aged 86.
Fred featured in everything from The Simpsons to Anchorman.
The cause of the actor’s death still remains unknown.

Actor, Fred Willard has tragically passed away on Friday night.
Willard, who had worked professionally as an actor for decades, starred in countless films.
Willard was a true veteran of modern cinema and television starring in Roseanne, The Simpsons, and This Is Spinal Tap.
However that’s not all.
For millions of Americans, Willard was a household name and face for because of the amount of acting credits to his name.
Willard also starred in Modern Family, Austin Powers, and Harold & Kumar.
He was born on September 18, 1939. Willard was never certain exactly the location of his birth, other than it was somewhere in Cleveland.
He always had a desire to become an actor.
In the late 50’s Willard first began acting where he starred in a performance of Desperate Hours at a local YMCA.
Willard initially started out as a comedian, performing sketches on The Johnny Carson Show.
Williard had his big break in the 70s, he really began making a name for himself starring in Mary Hartman and it’s spin-offs. The rest is history.
Following his breakthrough, Willard just got bigger and bigger – with hundreds of roles, from King of the Hill to American Wedding.
In 1968 he married Mary Lovell. The following year they had a child, called Hope.
They were together their whole lives until she sadly passed away in 2018.
Willard never retired. His final film, Space Force, in which he stars alongside Steve Carrell, is set to appear on Netflix next month.
Late yesterday evening, news started appearing about that Willard has passed away.
Jamie Lee Curtis confirmed the news.
The actor and author, Jamie Lee Curtis, whose husband, Christopher Guest, had frequently collaborated with Willard, was the first to share the tragic news.
She paid an emotional tribute to him.
Writing online, Curtis said:

Fred’s family also spoke out, his daughter Hope commented:
“My father passed away very peacefully last night at the fantastic age of 86 years old. He kept moving, working and making us happy until the very end. We loved him so very much. We will miss him forever.”
So did other actors.
Many paid tribute to Willard following the news of his death.
Steve Carell wrote:
“Fred Willard was the funniest person that I’ve ever worked with. He was a sweet, wonderful man.”
Modern Family star, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who plays Mitch wrote:
Now, his cause of death has been confirmed.
Since then it has been confirmed that Willard passed away from natural causes in his home at the age of 86.
The world has truly lost an icon, may he rest in peace.
