Days Before Wedding A Bride-To-Be Finds Package From Stranger Sitting On The Kitchen Table

It was only a few days to her wedding when Mary Hall returned home from work only to find a mysterious package sitting on her kitchen table. Her husband to be, Chuck, had been anxiously waiting for her to return so they could open it together.

The couple who hail from Indiana were a bit confused at first, but upon opening the box they were very surprised. The contents of the box contained a letter from a complete stranger wishing them the best on their upcoming nuptials.

The person who sent the letter was a member of the Felker family from Illinois, which is hundreds of miles from Indiana. They happened upon Chuck and Mary’s wedding registry while doing a simple google search.

Not only did the box contain a typed letter, there was also a gift inside – a gift so unexpected and coincidental it gave Mary the goose bumps all over.

Read on to find out what the sentimental gift was that Chuck and Mary never expected…

Chuck Neese and Mary Hall were only days away from becoming husband and wife, their wedding was set to take place on January 20, 2018.

Everything for the special day was going as planned for the couple from Evansville, Indiana.

Days before they were to tie the know, an unusual package arrived in the mail.

When Mary arrived home from work that day, she spotted the mysterious box sitting on the table in the kitchen.

Chuck had been waiting for Mary to return to open the box together and see what contents lay inside.

It turned out a family from Illinois had sent the mysterious box. The Felker family had found Chuck and Mary’s registry online while doing a simple google search.

“Your names were the first listing on the search results to be getting married in 2018. Through a little bridal registry ‘detective work,’ we found an address to send this gift to,” the letter stated.

The Felker’s revealed that Chuck and Mary shared the same names as their deceased parents from La Crosse, Wisconsin.

The shared names inspired the Felker family to send the mysterious box with a letter and gift to Chuck and Mary before their wedding.

In the letter they congratulated Chuck and Mary on their upcoming special day.

“We opened it, and he started reading that letter, and as he started reading, I just got chills and goose bumps all over,” Mary said.

“He kept reading… and I was just shocked.”

The box also contained a very sentimental gift.

“We kindly wish that you will accept these engraved champagne glasses that had once belonged to our late parents,” the letter read.

The member of the Felker family who had typed the letter revealed their deceased parents, Chuck and Mary Felker, of La Crosse , Wisconsin, had been married for 62 wonderful years.

They attached a small picture of the young lovebirds at the bottom of the letter.

Mary was over the moon with the beautiful pair of vintage glasses with a personalized engraving from the Felker’s.

The engraving reads: Let me dance with you forever, Mary & Chuck

Chuck and Mary plan to use the beautiful glasses on their wedding day.

But that was not the end of the strange coincidences.

Mary noticed that the glasses had been sent in a converse shoe box.

“I’m like, ‘No way!’”

This was the very shoe that Mary and her bridesmaids had planned to wear under their wedding dresses!

Now what are the chances of that?

Mary and Chuck decided to invite the Felker family to their wedding but have not received a reply to date.

They hope to meet the Felker’s one day in the near future.

The future husband and wife revealed that when their daughter Lily gets married in the future, they will send the champagne glasses to another couple by the same name.

It is amazing how two families can be connected through surprising coincidences and simple acts of kindness, and may well have started a tradition that will last forever.
