Daughter rushes to mom with blood on her face– she gasps when realizes what happened

Sienna Duffield recently celebrated her 2nd birthday with her loving family. The day after the party was to be a day that will be remembered in the Duffield family forever more. Her mom, Savina French-Bell made a startling discovery, her young daughters face was covered in a strange looking unfamiliar rash.

Doctors struggled to pinpoint he cause of the mysterious rash, taking 8 long month’s to finally nail down the exact cause.

“It started to look like someone had thrown acid over her face, it spread from her mouth to her cheeks, and above her eyes,” mother Savina says.

For eight dreadful months Sienna and her family suffered as the doctors tried to find a cure for the young child.

As Sienna’s condition got more aggressive, her face was covered in blister’s which bled whenever they burst. Her mother could only liken it to her child’s face was being eaten alive and she was helpless.

Young Sienna constantly had to change her clothes as they would become stained with blood and puss from her seeping wounds. She also had difficulty eating from the open wounds around her face which would often fester.

Bringing her daughter out with her had become a no go for Savina, people would stare and pass hurting and cruel comments aimed towards her child.

Doctor’s fought drastically to find a solution, at first thinking the rash was a simple rash or eczema. But when none of the drugs or usual treatments failed to see results they were left scratching their heads as to what the rash was. Eventually Sienna had to be hospitalized and was placed on a IV in order to gain nourishment as the rash had now made it near impossible for her to eat.

She now had the crippling rash for over 8 months and her mother was desperate to find out what her child had. As she recalled events in the weeks prior to Sienna becoming ill she recalled a kiss a relation had given her child.

After she relayed this information to doctors, they tested for what no one would have expected. Her child had contracted the herpes virus from the kiss she had received.

Finally doctors had pinpointed the exact cause and could treat Sienna. She had contracted herpes simplex virus type 1.

Not long after treatment for the virus begun, Sienna’s face began to heal and her beautiful smile could once again be seen.

“For the past few months, Sienna’s face has looked amazing and the infection has not returned,” Savina said. “There is always a chance of it coming back, but fingers crossed it won’t happen and her skin will stay as good as it is now. It’s great to be able to go outside and not get any horrible comments from anyone.”

Sienna’s mother wants to send a clear message to parents, do not let anyone kiss your children. Anyone can carry this virus and it is not visible to the eye but small children can be very prone to the virus if exposed.

We hope litttle Sienna will never have an experience like this again.
