Police Tell Sex Offenders “You’re Not Welcome” In Shelters During Hurricane Irma

A Florida Sheriff is refusing to allow convicted Sex offenders to enter Public Shelters during Hurricane Irma which is expected to hit this weekend.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd say’s he made the decision as he didn’t feel it was safe to have them enter the shelters where thousands of families with young children have begun arriving.

In a humorous aside, Sheriff Grady added that if you turn up at a shelter and have an outstanding warrant you will gladly be assisted to the County Jail where we have plenty of shelter for you.

Social Media users hit out at the Sheriff accusing him of being inhuman and labelling his comments as ridiculous whilst others were quick to defend Grady.
